CONTACT re TRAVEL: Olga is the main coordinator for helping non-Russian speakers from abroad when they arrive, for example to be met by someone at the airport and/or to travel together from the airport by taxi to the hotel. Particularly for those flying to Minsk which requires at least a 45 minute taxi ride to the hotel, contact Olga directly with your flight information (arrival day/time/flight number/city/country where you are flying from). This way she will have an overview of how to help the most people get to the hotel in the most efficient manner.
This event will be held at Belarus Hotel (http://www.hotel-belarus.com/en/) where we have also initially held 10 rooms at a discounted rate of approximately USD 60 per night. This year's European Meeting is being held in Minsk because it allows the easiest access for ACAs from all over Europe to attend, in terms of travel cost and visa requirements.
For example, the large Russian-speaking fellowship does not need a visa to travel to Minsk, and the distance is also not far from Russia. Equally, ACAs travelling from most Western countries now can also visit Belarus for up to 30 days without a visa if they enter by flying to Minsk. See links below for more travel information.
